Operators

AccessBus 

A Dial-a-Ride, door-to-door, local transport service for people of all ages who are unable to use standard bus services in West Yorkshire and district by district. Buses are fully accessible and fitted with seatbelts and wheelchair restraints. Assistance dogs are welcome. 

Operates seven days a week. 9.00am – 5.00pm. Excludes Bank Holidays. 

Passengers with concessionary travel passes, such as senior, disabled or blind person’s passes, travel for free. For all other adults, there is a fare of £3 each way.

Lines are open Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm.  

Bookings can be made a maximum of 6 days or minimum of 2 days prior to travel. 

FlexiBus  

A pre-bookable service which connects people to local places within West Yorkshire–East Leeds areas. Passengers must book at least one hour before they wish to travel. The bus will pick up at a safe and convenient place within 200m (a 3-minute walk) of their location. 

For passengers who are travelling further afield, FlexiBus will connect to buses on the main routes and to trains at Cross Gates.

Sheffield Community Transport: Door2Door 

Sheffield Community Transport offer door-to-door services including: Shopper Bus, City Ride and the Community Car Scheme. 

Shopper BusandCity Ride provide fully accessible minibuses, for people who find it very difficult or impossible to use public transport. Sheffield Community Transport drivers provide assistance from the doorstep to the vehicle. However, Sheffield Community Transport are only permitted to carry certain mobility scooters and passengers must transfer from the scooter to a bus seat to travel.  

Operates: Seven days a week. Times vary for weekday and weekend journeys and by location. For an up-to-date timetable, contact Sheffield Community Transport directly.

Local community transport options 

The Go Local North Yorkshire website provides full details of all local Community Transport options available to passengers in North Yorkshire.  

York Wheels  

Provides transport services for the benefit of the community. The service is for elderly people or those with reduced mobility.

Operates bus services in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. TM Travel provide a wheelchair accessible space on the bus for disabled passengers.

Flyer Bus (Leeds Bradford Airport)

Flyer is the current brand name of a trio of bus services which call at Leeds Bradford Airport. Routes A1, A2 and A3 serve a range of towns and cities in Yorkshire including Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate.             

  • Flyer 1: Leeds Bradford Airport to Leeds. 
  • Flyer 2: Leeds Bradford Airport to Bradford and Harrogate.  
  • Flyer 3: Leeds Bradford Airport to Otley and Shipley then Bradford.

Connexions Buses 

Operated by Harrogate Coach Travel, Connexions Buses operate a network of local bus services from Harrogate and York in the North Yorkshire area, as well as Otley, Ilkley and Leeds in the West Yorkshire area.
