Lincolnshire buses

County advice overview

There are a number of different bus companies operating throughout Lincolnshire.

If you are travelling with reduced mobility or a disability, it is recommended you plan your route ahead of time and contact the operator with any queries regarding mobility equipment.

The Lincs Bus website provides information on bus routes and timetables. Plus, a detailed guide to all Lincolnshire travel options including bus, coach, rail and community transport services.

Lincs Bus operates a helpline between 9.00am-6.00pm, Monday to Friday, and 9.30am-4.00pm on Saturday. Contact: 0345 456 4474

Key tips

If you have reduced mobility, where possible plan your journey in advance so that you know:

  • If bus stops are accessible
  • Which mobility aids you will be travelling with. Contact the bus operator if you are unsure whether you can travel with your scooter/wheelchair

You may also wish to consider:

  • Where the nearest bus stop is and which bus number you need
  • What method of payment is accepted and if the ticket can be bought online
  • Which destination stop you require. (The bus driver should be happy to help.)

Special assistance

Stagecoach buses offer ‘Journey Assistance Cards’.

These are available if customers need a bit more help with using the buses and they make it easier for bus drivers to know which help is required.

The assistance cards can be used at any time of day.

Information and details on how to apply can be found on the www.stagecoachbus.com/promos-and-offers/national/journey-assistance-cards

Travelling with mobility equipment

Centrebus, Delaine and most Stagecoach buses are low floor and wheelchair accessible.

If you are planning to travel on Centrebus with a mobility scooter, you must apply for a permit. Details can be found on the www.centrebus.info/accessibility/
