Special assistance

Assistance is available both in the port and onboard the ferry. This includes assistance with boarding and leaving the ferry, assistance with baggage and any specific medical equipment, as well as support in making your way to the toilet facilities.

When you book through a travel agent or tour operator, you should inform them if you will require assistance at the port or on the ferry. Your request will be passed to DFDS.

A note will then be added to your booking which will ensure that, where possible, your needs are taken into consideration.

After assessing your specific requirements, DFDS may require that you are accompanied by a companion who can assist you during the journey, and will travel free of charge.

If you or a member of your travelling party has a hearing or visual impairment, you can visit the Information Desk onboard. Staff will ensure that you receive important messages being made over the onboard public address system.

Further travel assistance information can be found on the DFDS website.
